Marcia Elnida Roringpandey was born in Semarang and grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and recently graduated from Columbia University with a Master’s in Public Health. During her time at Columbia, she was a Graduate Public Health Intern at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as well as the World Health Organization, where she focused on MiNDbank, a database of resources covering mental health, substance abuse, disability, human rights and development. She is currently the Health System Specialist at the Ministry of Health of Indonesia. Previously, she headed management and operations at Siloam Hospitals Group, SMU Healthcare, and Medistra Hospital in Indonesia.
